Baby Grand

Tomorrow my baby grand is coming. I haven't had a piano in 9 months. When I first moved in with my Mom I realized it would be awhile before I'd get to play again. There was no sense in getting worked up about it. A couple of times when I got really down about it I'd go to the church and play, or play Irene's. But you know, it's just not the same. What I look forward to the most is that time with just me and God, playing songs for Him. Not trying to impress anyone, not having to play quietly so I don't disturb anyone. I can just play (and maybe sing a little too) songs of love for Jesus. Great old hymns, new favorite praise songs, telling God how great he is and the awe I have for Him and all he's made. My Mom asked me what the first song I'll play is. I'm not sure what the first song I'll play for her is, but I have a few ideas what the first songs will be for Him. The Majesty and Glory of Your Name is a fantastic song. Or maybe I'll play Be Thou My Vision. Or Just a Closer Walk with me, all country western style. Oh I just got excited thinking about Christmas songs! It's already October; usually I've been playing Christmas songs for weeks already by October!

On top of that, I am also really excited about starting a new discipleship class on Sundays. It's about worship. I'd say I have a lot to learn in this area. To top it all off, now I have a Holman Bible to study with!

The timing of these blessings couldn't be bettter. I've been feeling a little like the world is crumbling down around me, but the Lord sustains me. He is always there reminding me that he is in control, I'm not alone. People may fail me, but then again there is hope for all people in Him. I was so glad Pastor Dan directed us to Psalm 63 this last Sunday. I've been enjoying reading that. Helping Ella learn her AWANA verses has done a lot of good for me too. I want to spend more time in His word. Pray for me that I will do that?

I've got to get off to studying my Bible, and getting some sleep! Love ya'll. Goodnight.

I'm glad you like the Holman Bible. I should read mine even though it's kinda beat up...

You know something I pray for my family and myself is that I will hunger and thirst for His word and that it would be unquenchable. I have found that through praying that everday when I miss my Bible reading and prayer time I feel deprived.
